March/April 2026 Kings Center City of Angels Newsletter
When everything in the world feels wrong, it’s comforting to remember there are lots of people out there who try every day to do the right thing.
If you’re one of them, thank you for being you and for doing what you do.

Thank you for being the people who try every day to do the right thing. Thank you
for what you do for the children of the Kings Center.
I have had several projects on my plate lately and have neglected to check the "little
white mailbox" at the Kings Center. Needless to say, it was stuffed to the max from
Valentine Wishes and drawings from the KC kids to you all. Since I can't afford the
stamps to mail them all to you, I've taken some pictures that I will include at the bottom
of this page. Many of the kids said things like:
I love you. You're my favorite angel, Thank you for all your cards, I wish I could
meet you. Thank you for caring for me, Thank you for being there.
Please do not underestimate the power of your words of encouragement! There are
three new children who are anxious for an angel, so if you have a friend who may be
interested give them my contact info. I'll send them a brochure.
Do you believe Spring Break is in one week??? That warm weather we just enjoyed
certainly made us hungry for summer! Our hours during the extended FIS break will be
1-5, M-F. Deneen has a full roster of experiences for the kids. Besides continuing their
Virtue classes on Mondays and their Life Lessons on Wednesdays at the FUMC, they
will do many outdoor games and contests, scavenger hunts, and gardening activities.
They always have a cooking lesson on Fridays and do Engineering experiments
throughout the week.
Please mark your calendar for June 20th, the day we celebrate our 30th year of service
to the South Frankfort Community! We will have a dinner and Silent Auction in the
Wesley Center at FUMC. Tickets will be $ 50, and this will be an important fundraiser for
the Kings Center's future.
I'm sending this email early because I leave on Wednesday (25th) for Florida for three
weeks. We have lots of family on both sides and none of us are getting any younger!
You can still reach me by text if need be 502-395-1516.
Thanks again for your faithfulness!
Kay Scott
