You angels are rich in these ways! You have been attentive to the children of the Kings Center by providing them with a place to learn and play. You have encouraged them with your cards & prayers, and you have made them feel welcome and a part of our community.

This summer, we are overflowing, and the kids are bustling with activities! I was there yesterday, and not one child was inside or playing on their phone. They were creating, painting, making chalk "stained glass windows" on the sidewalk, having bubble fights, and riding bikes. I took some pictures and will try to attach them to the end.

On Tuesdays, the kids will start going to the Grand Theatre for their summer arts programs. They love these and have reservations right down front, where they are very respectful. On Wednesdays, they go to the First United Methodist Wesley Center, where Dr. Leanne Hadley leads them in a variety of programs before snack and free time in the gym. Deneen keeps them busy the other three days with science experiments and many outdoor activities. Keeping them engaged and moving is the goal.

Thank you to all of you who came to the 3oth Anniversary Dinner. We had over 100 people and were treated to some wonderful slides and videos of former students, as well as interviews with Jason Mays and Jessica Williams. The food was not only delicious but presented in a lovely way, especially the desserts. I highly recommend the FOODIE GIRLS if you ever need a caterer.

On a sad note, many of you have read about the young man from FCHS who recently passed away from cancer, KeAaron Jones. He and his brother had attended the KC during their elementary years before moving to the east side. He was a sweet, compassionate kid who loved to sing. Please keep his family in your prayers as they are struggling.

My husband and I will leave Friday for western New York, Bill's hometown, for two weeks, celebrating a lot of Scott family milestones! I hope to sleep, read, and go to wineries!
