In a world that boldly encourages us to think about ourselves first,
the discipline of humility chooses to focus on others. So often our real needs are met as we seek to meet the needs of others. Max Lucado
Thank you for choosing to focus on the needs of the Kings Center kids. I am humbled by your faithfulness as I take your cards to the center each week and see the delight on their faces.
I’m also very thankFULL to God for how He has blessed us this past year! We’ve had many talented people offer their services to provide quality programming for our children. Deneen has created an organized, home-like structure that has impacted behavior in a positive way. We have received some small grants to fence in the backyard, provide a Spoken Word poetry workshop, paint a mural on the backyard wall, and continue our Metamorphosis program. We have an Intern from Campbellsville University for twenty hours a week. We have several gentlemen from the WJR Foundation working with our boys! AND our NEW BUS will be delivered this Sunday!
But SHHHHHHHHHHH! We plan to surprise the kids on Wednesday at 5:00 with a police escort and rides around downtown to celebrate with the community. So come on down or be on Main or Broadway to wave to a busload of excited kids!
Again, thanks for all you do for our kids to let them know they live in a caring community!
With a full heart, Kay Scott 502-395-1516
